November Rain, Lagu Wajib Bulan November

Memasuki November, ini lagu menjadi salah satu yang wajib putar. Yup, November Rain. Lagu milik Guns N' Roses (GNR) ini rilis pada 1991 bersama album kedua, Use Your Illusion I. November Rain dirilis sebagai single pada Juni tahun berikutnya, menyusul single pertamanya, Don't Cry dan kedua, Live and Let Die. Di YouTube, tayangan video official November Rain sudah ditonton lebih dari 17 juta kali, yang menjadikan lagu ini dinobatkan sebagai salah satu lagu 90-an dengan penonton terbanyak di YouTube.

Dengan segala kesuksesannya tersebut, siapa sangka kalau sebelumnya lagu ini tak diperhitungkan. Karya keroyokan Saul Hudson, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan, Darren A Reed, Matt Sorum, Axl Rose ini sempat ditolak personel GNR. Lagu ini sudah selesai dibuat pada 1986, setahun mereka merilis album pertama, Appetite for Destruction. Setelah diputuskan untuk masuk di album kedua, ternyata sambutan pasar sangat antusias. Durasinya yang panjang tak menyurutkan radio broadcast untuk menyiarkannya. November Rain memecahkan rekor menjadi lagu terpanjang yang pernah masuk tangga lagu Billboard. Prestasinya hingga di posisi ketiga Billboard Hot 100.
