Let's Dance, Menari Bersama David Bowie

Berkisah tentang menari bersama kekasih. Let's Dance, lagu milik David Bowie yang rilis tahun 1983 dalam album bertajuk sama. Let's Dance menjadi single kedua Bowie sekaligus terakhir yang menjadi jawara di tangga lagu bergengsi Amerika Serikat, Billboard Hot 100. Album  Let's Dance sekaligus juga menjadi salah satu album Bowie dengan penjualan terbesar.

Let's Dance diproduseri oleh Nile Rodgers, yang dikenal dengan album-album bernuansa funky. Rodgers adalah pendiri grup disco, Chic. Ia memproduseri sejumlah hits dari penyanyi seperti Diana Ross dengan Upside Down dan I'm Coming Out. Rodgers juga menjadi produser untuk album Madonna, Like a Virgin. Pada sebuah wawancara tahun 2012, Rodgers bercerita, saat bersama-sama mencoba mencari musik dan gaya yang cocok untuk lagu ini, Bowie menunjukkan sebuah album Little Richard. Pada sampul album tersebut, Richard mengenakan baju merah bersama Cadillac warna merah, dengan potongan rambut pompadour, Bowie menyebut itu sebagai rock'n'roll dan ingin menampilkan nuansa itu. Pilihannya adalah baju warna kuning. Pada setahun berikutnya, dalam film Davie Bowie: 5 Years in the Making of an Icon, Rodgers mengatakan, “Let's Dance' is not what I'd call a traditional dance record, but it's certainly a record that does make you want to dance. I thought to myself, 'Man, if I don't make a record that makes people want to dance, and we call the song Let's Dance, I'm going to have to trade in my black union card.”

Ada yang unik pada lagu ini. Penampilan gitar solo Stevie Ray Vaughan di penghujung lagu. Konon awalnya Bowie tertarik melihat permainan Vaughan di festival Montreaux Jazz setahun sebelumnya. Saat Bowie memintanya terlibat, Vaughan sedang menggarap albumnya, Texas Flood.

Beberapa penyanyi membawakan kembali lagu ini. Let’s Dance juga muncul dalam banyak film, meski bukan untuk tema utama.
