I Can't Stop Loving You, Lagu Country Yang Berjaya

I Can't Stop Loving You paling dikenal dari suara Ray Charles. Rilis bersama album Modern Sounds In Country And Western Music pada tahun 1962. Padahal lagu ini ditulis dan dibawakan penyanyi country, Don Gibson, empat tahun sebelumnya. Di tahun yang sama, I Can't Stop Loving You dibawakan juga oleh penyanyi country lainnya, Kitty Wells. Dan lagu ini sempat berada di chart yang sama dari dua penyanyi. 

Charles sendiri dikenal sebagai penyanyi gospel dan R&B. Pada suatu ketika, produsernya, Sid Feller, mengajak Charles untuk membuat rekaman lagu country. Ada 150-an lagu country yang ditawarkan, dan salah satu yang dipilih Charles adalah lagu ini. Hasilnya, album Modern Sounds In Country And Western Music sukses terjual hingga 700 ribu copy hanya di bulan pertama penjualan.
