Big Log, Karya Solo Robert Plant

Robert Plant menulis lagu ini terinspirasi bukunya JRR Tolkien. Ada nuansa unik dan mistis pada lagu ini. Dengan makna tak mudah tertebak. Big Log sendiri adalah istilah umum untuk para pengemudi trailer traktor. Tapi Big Log di dini adalah metafor untuk sebuah cinta yang hilang: "My love is in league with the freeway... My love is the miles and the waiting."  

Dalam video klip ditampilkan Plant tengah berkendara dengan mobil klasik di sebuah pompa bensin gurun terpencil. Dalam keheningan terik ia merenungkan atas cinta yang hilang. Pengambilan gambar dilakukan di beberapa wilayah di California dan Nevada.

Big Log menjadi hit pertama Plant setelah memutuskan bersolo karir setelah dari Led Zeppelin. Lagu yang rilis tahun 1983 dalam album The Principle Of Moments ini juga menjadi solo pertama Plant yang berhasil masuk 'Top 40 solo hit' pada posisi 11 pada 'UK Singles Chart' dan nomor 20 pada 'US Billboard Hot 100'.
