Song of Freedom dari Bob Marley

Redemption Song. Lewat lagu ini Bob Marley seolah meninggalkan pesan sebelum kematiannya, tentang 'freedom and redemption'. Marley, bukan semata pesohor. Lewat lagunya ia memberikan semangat kepada mereka yang tertindas, baik di negeri asalnya, Jamaika, maupun dunia. Redemption Song adalah single terakhir Marley sebelum ia meninggal pada 11 Mei 1981. 

Bob Marley berhasil menuntaskan album terakhirnya pada musim panas 1980. Ia berusaha meramu musiknya saat ia sedang dalam pengobatan mengatasi kankernya. Bob Marley & The Wailers merilis Redemption Song bersama album Uprising tahun 1980. Marley sempat membawakan lagu ini live pada sebuah show di Pittsburgh, 23 September 1980.
