Bill Withers: Have A Lovely Day!

Lovely Daaaaaaaay...dalam nada panjang yang asik! Yup, Lovely Day, lagu jadulnya Bill Withers yang masih asik. 

Sebelum muncul di album Menagerie (1978), Lovely Day sempat dirilis sebagai single di akhir 1977. Lagu yang ditulis oleh Withers bersama Skip Scarborough ini sempat bertengger cukup lama di deretan Billboard R&B chart dan Billboard Hot 100 chart di Amerika pada awal 1978.

Bill Withers, penulis lagu Amerika Serikat keturunan Afrika yang lahir di Slab Fork, Virginia Barat, pada 4 Juli 1938. Selain Lovely Day, hits-nya yang lain adalah Ain't No Sunshine, Use Me, Lean on Me, Grandma's Hands, dan tentu saja Just the Two of Us. Sejak berkarya pada akhir 60-an Withers telah menelurkan tak kurang dari 14 album, melahirkan sejumlah hits, dan berhasil meraih 3 Grammy Award.
