halnya lagu-lagu mereka yang lain, cinta juga menjadi tema utama lagu ini. Making Love Out of Nothing at All ditulis oleh Jim Steinman,
penulis lagu-lagunya Meat Loaf. Lewat suara Air Supply, lagu ini berhasil
hingga posisi kedua Billboard Hot 100 di Amerika Serikat selama tiga pekan. Lalu
dikalahkan oleh lagu Steinman yang lain, Total Eclipse Of The Heart.
Making
Love Out of Nothing at All ditulis Steinman berangkat dari karya dia yang lain yang menjadi theme
song A Small Circle of Friends, film yang rilis tahun 1980. Konon lagu ini dan Total
Eclipse Of The Heart sempat
ditawarkan Steinman ke Meat Loaf, tapi tak terjadi kesepakatan. Akhirnya Making
Love Out of Nothing at All diberikan oleh Air Supply, dan Total Eclipse
Of The Heart ke Bonnie Tyler.
Air Supply
merilis lagu ini dalam album Ultimate Air Supply tahun 1983, bersama
hits mereka yang lain seperti All Out Of Love, Faith in Love, Sweet Dreams, dan
The One That You Love. Sepanjang karir mereka sejak tahun 1976, duo asal
